Manitoba Nature Summit (8:00AM)

"Children are born naturalists. They explore the world with all of their senses, experiment in the environment, and communicate their discoveries to those around them."

 ~ The Audubon Nature Preschool

Manitoba Nature Action Collaborative (M-NACC) is a volunteer-run, grassroots organization invested in incorporating nature into children's lives. Research shows that children have become alienated from nature and its curative and inspiring effects. M-NACC's Nature Summit will make a start by bringing together 150 delegates - early childhood educators, nature enthusiasts, health professionals, landscape architects and others - for a weekend of skill development and developing strategic relationships. Delegates will be offered opportunities to explore nature and develop skills that they can share with the children in their lives.

The Nature Summit will be held at Camp Manitou from September 10 through 12, 2010.
