The Canadian Public Employee Aquisition Club has developed a new site called the Canadian School ECO-Fundraising program. The program intends to help Canadian schools, teachers, students and the planet.
The Canadian School ECO-Fundraising program is a free, automated fundraising tool for Canadian schools wrapped in an environmental message.
The program offers great flexibility to schools including the ability to vary the message and there lies your opportunity.

Looking for a comprehensive guide to begin greening your school grounds and develop outdoor classrooms? Look no further. The Evergreen Foundation provides a detailed resource on creating Learning Grounds. The guide identifies the process you would undertake to plan and design a greening project including mapping out and configuring the project site, identifying the project team, selecting plant species, and developng a maintenance strategy.

Between April 26, 2010 and May 24, 2010, schools in Manitoba are invited to share a story telling us about the actions they have taken toward creating a healthy school environment.
Submissions can include the following:
a written story in between 300 to 500 words outlining how you and your school are committed to protecting the planet, human health and the community
photos of projects and/or activities undertaken on your school grounds or in your school building
video clips of student presentations related to your healthy school projects
other artwork created by students that illustrates your school's commitment to healthy environments
contact information including an email and telephone number for a teacher or administrator at your school in case there are follow-up questions

Each week, submissions will be compiled into a slideshow and shared on the www.childrensenvironment.ca website for all to see.
The 2nd annual national Healthy Schools Day in Canada is set for April 26, 2010. Over thirty-five provincial and national organizations declared national Healthy Schools Day in Canada - Journée des écoles saines du Canada will be celebrated each year in April. Member of Parliament, Geoff Regan announced the occasion in Parliament in 2009.
As a founding partner in Healthy Schools Day in Canada, the Children's Health & Environment Partnership of Manitoba profiled Ecole Robert H. Smith for the inaugural year and celebrated student, parent and faculty efforts in improving the quality of environment inside and outside of their school.

Nutritious food options in the cafeteria or projects that promote food security
Chemical-free or less toxic cleaning solutions used in the school
Learning inside and outside of school that promotes environmental stewardship, species conservation and community engagement
Promoting idle-free zones
Participation in projects that aim to reduce the impacts of climate change
Renovating using safe practices and healthier building products
