KIDS ON THE MOVE Resource Conservation Manitoba and the Active and Safe Routes to School Program will be disseminating the Child-and-Youth-Friendly Land-Use and Transportation Planning Guidelines beginning the fall of 2009. This project is being conducted for the Centre for Sustainable Transportation at the University of Winnipeg. It is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada. The main objective of the project is to develop sets of guidelines for municipal transportation and land-use planners, one set for each of Canada's ten provinces. The Guidelines are being developed as tools for achieving transportation and land-use arrangements that meet the needs of children and youth, and in doing so meet the needs of all people.
