Everyday you work to keep children safe, develop their minds and nurture their spirit. As child care providers you play an important role in the health, happiness and well-being of children.

Child care providers can:

  • Provide important information to parents and community members on ways to protect children by suggesting specific actions and sharing resources like websites, checklists and fact sheets.
  • Act as role model by helping others to see how important yet easy it can be to take action.
  • Influence policy at the provincial and local level through your professional associations which in turn reduces risk to children.
  • Make changes in your workplace - big or small. This might include buying alternative cleaning products or adding organic and local foods in your meal programs.
  • Get involved with the Children's Health & Environment Partnership in Manitoba by joining our Daycares/Schools Constellation.

This section of our website will equip you with information and resources relevant to your sector.
